Pete Gabriel
Pete began with Cambridge Financial Advisors, LLC in August 2014, and became a partner with the firm in January 2015. Prior to joining CFA, Pete was an executive for General Electric Lighting for 15 years.
Throughout his career, he worked in operational leadership roles, with most of his time spent managing factories. Pete’s passion in GE was teaming with the people in his factories to make them great places to work while driving bottom-line results. His all-time pride and joy was being able to work with the employees in Bucyrus, Ohio to make the plant the best in class, globally, for cost, service, quality and efficiency. As a result, GE spent almost $100 million to move product lines and equipment to Ohio from overseas and added over 160 living-wage jobs to the factory. His last job before departing GE was as the manager for productivity, capacity, and restructuring for GE Lighting’s entire global supply chain.
Prior to GE, Pete was an armor officer in the US Army for seven years. He was stationed in Schweinfurt, Germany, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ft. Stewart, Georgia with stints at Ft. Knox, Kentucky for training. He still misses moving out in his tank at dawn (although not sleeping on the back of the tank in the rain/snow). Pete received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Pete has been married to Marty since 1998, and has three kids: Anna, currently at Colorado School of Mines, and Jim and Robbie, both attending Buena Vista High School. Thanks to CFA’s financial advice for 7 years while clients, the Gabriel family was able to take a “gap year,” travelling to 15 countries on 4 continents while home-schooling, bonding and having countless adventures. Miraculously (literally), Pete ended up in Buena Vista, a spot just a wonderful as places he raved about in Italy, New Zealand, South Africa….. He has passionately and fully embraced his new home and loves downriver SUPing and exploring Colorado’s mountain passes and back roads on his adventure motorcycle.
